glasstec is just under two weeks away, we are looking forward to another great show and hope we'll get to meet as many of you as possible at stand A53 in Hall 10! We have posted a series of tips and tricks to help you make the most of your time in Düsseldorf — check them out here. For our final article, we'll look at the show itself and things to keep in mind while you're there.
Make a plan of attack
The most important thing to know about glasstec if you haven't been before is that it is huge. The best thing you can do to make the most of your time at the show is to look at the exhibitor list and plan out the ones you want to visit. Don't forget to include us on that list! We'll be at stand A54 in Hall 10.
The glasstec venue: Messe Düsseldorf
There are two entrances to Messe. Here are a few useful tips for both...
Messe Nord
- Best access to the main entrance, halls 9, 10, 11, 16 & 17, food and shops
- Messe Nord has the most convenient U-Bahn access, U78 connects Messe to the center of town. You can also wait for your train under cover at the station, shielding you from Düsseldorf's fall weather.
- Bus 896 to airport
Messe Ost
- Best access for halls 12, 13, 14 & 15
- Bus 896 to airport
- U-Bahn to Messe Ost / Stockumer Kirchst and walk to Ost Gate
Taxi rates
There is a special €20 rate to the airport from Messe, use the following contact numbers to access it:
- +49(0)211/3 33 33
- +49(0)211/9 99 99
- +49(0)211/21 21 21
Keep your energy levels up
Make sure you take water with you but there are food options at the show.
We recommend getting a classic wurst and kraut plate from the food court outside Hall 9 (not the inside food courts). However if you want a nice salad or roast meal then the internal food courts in Hall 9 are the best option.
Chocolate is always great for staying energized, head over to the Smart-Builder stand for some free, New Zealand-made chocolate treats! We'll be at stand A53 in Hall 10 — look for the giant owl, you can't miss it!
